Siler Yard 2015 - 2025
Siler Yard 2024
A photo project spanning ten years, focusing on the people and businesses in the Siler Road area of Santa Fe as the Siler Yard housing project was taking shape and then completed.
This photo project has been supported by many different people and entities over the years, including Daniel Werwath, Cyndi Conn, Bill Miller and Creative Santa Fe, Mayor Javier Gonzales, The City of Santa Fe employees, MIX Santa Fe, MAKE Santa Fe, The AHA Festival, The Art of the Machine Festival, Trend Magazine, New Mexico Interfaith Housing, and most recently Shawn Evans and the architects of Atkin Olson and Shade and Mass Design Group who engaged with the photo side of this project to capture the final product and win an AIA award in 2025.
Below is a small sample of images from this project, and this small sample is only a sliver of the larger story of this project. Thank you to the subjects … the people who let me knock on their door and see the work and world that they were a part of, whether it be in the automotive world or the art world … I am also thankful for the people and publishers along the way, who allowed me to use the public’s interest in this story to go beyond the normal outreach and cocktail party coverage and do images that got to dig a little deeper into the story that makes up this part of Santa Fe.
